Members of New Progressive Church can attend the first 5 weeks of the course before paying.  This offer is only open to the parishioners of New Progressive Church, and membership must be confirmed by Dr. William Briggs.  After the 5th week, students will have to pay for the course in order to continue.

ABOUT CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH - LEVEL I, 
"An Approach to Listening-Comprehension and Speaking"

The objective of the course is to emphasize structure: word structure, and particularly, phrase structure; while at the same time, giving the students much of the grammar and vocabulary necessary for success in college 100level Spanish courses. 

During this course, the instructor will focus on the student's ability to perform in multi-phrasal and multi-clausal sentences, using the proper connectors and relaters, as well as the student's acquisition of vocabulary items. 

The class will learn, repeat, memorize and practice dialogues; with the goal of enabling the students to begin some basic conversations early in the learning process and with good pronunciation and intonation patterns. 

THIS IS A BEGINNER LEVEL CLASS, but with more emphasis on listening-comprehension and speaking than most other beginner courses.
